Information we collect

We obtain information about you in a number of ways when you use our website, for example when you make a purchase, contact us via our contact form or register to receive emails from us. From time to time we may collect your information in competitions. Other information we collect when you browse our site may include your IP address and device type.

Type of information that is collected  

Account Information: If you make an online enquiry, or register for an online account with us the personal information we collect might include name, address, contact number and email.

Purchases and orders made by you: When you purchase a product from us at www.expressgolf.co.uk we will keep a record of your transaction, including what you purchased and when, and any information you provide to us to fulfil the transaction.  This may include your name, billing information, telephone number, and delivery address.

Your card information is not held by us, it is collected by a third party payment processor, who specialises in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions. For more information please visit Braintree’s & PayPal’s privacy policies, respectively.

  • Other information you provide to us: online forms such as Custom Fit Enquires or Price Match Requests
  • Online usage information: When you visit or browse our website, this will include information about your website visit or use of our products or services using cookies (as described in our cookies section), and anonymised data for analytical purposes.
  • CCTV images: As part of our legitimate interests CCTV is in operation during your visit to Express Golf Centre to ensure your safety and for the prevention and detection of crime.

Please be aware that if we are requested to provide CCTV images of you by the police or any other regulatory or government authority investigating suspected illegal activities, we are obliged do so.

Marketing

Email Marketing

Under the GDPR we use the consent lawful basis for anyone subscribing to our newsletter or marketing mailing list. We only collect certain data about you, as detailed in the “purposes of processing of your personal data” above. Any email marketing messages we send are done so through an EMS, email marketing service provider. An EMS is a third party service provider of software / applications that allows marketers to send out email marketing campaigns to a list of users.

Email marketing messages that we send may contain tracking beacons / tracked clickable links or similar server technologies in order to track subscriber activity within email marketing messages. Where used, such marketing messages may record a range of data such as; times, dates, I.P addresses, opens, clicks, forwards, geographic and demographic data. Such data, within its limitations will show the activity each subscriber made for that email campaign.

Any email marketing messages we send are in accordance with the GDPR and the PECR. We provide you with an easy method to withdraw your consent (unsubscribe) or manage your preferences / the information we hold about you at any time. Keeping your information

Express Golf Online

Where you shop online with us & use our guest checkout we will only retain your personal detail for a reasonable amount of time (maximum of 2 years) after you have completed the transaction in order to fulfil any contractual obligations such as refund and guarantees.

When you shop online with us and create an account your account information will be retained. Once a period of 4 years has passed without activity, your account and personal details will be deleted.

If you register for marketing emails we will keep your name and email address for as long as we have your consent, you can opt-out at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails.

Express Golf Centre

We will keep your account information for as long as you have a Rewards Card account with us, or as long as is needed to be able to provide the services to you that you have requested.

 

Controlling your Personal Information
