Retail Assistant – Full Time

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Retail Assistant to join our team at Express Golf shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in golf and be enthusiastic about helping customers enhance their golfing experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Greet customers as they enter the shop, engage them in conversation to understand their needs, and provide expert advice on golf equipment and apparel. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Sales: Assist customers in selecting products, explain features and benefits of various golf equipment, such as clubs, balls, and accessories. Upsell products where appropriate and process customer transactions.
• Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in golf equipment and apparel. Attend product training sessions and participate in staff meetings to share and gain knowledge.
• Merchandising: Assist in the visual merchandising of the shop, ensuring displays are attractive, organised, and align with current promotions or seasonal trends.
• Inventory Management: Help manage inventory by restocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and participating in regular inventory audits.

General Maintenance: Keep the shop clean and tidy, ensuring all areas, including fitting rooms and counters, are presentable at all times.

You will need to be

– Reliable and trustworthy
– Have excellent customer service skills
– Have a ‘can do’ attitude to any issue that may arise

Training

Full training will be given but experience in a warehouse and/or retail environment would be advantageous.

Hours

40 hours per week involving early mornings and some weekends. Plus occasional overtime times.

Pay & Holiday

– Have a UK bank account in your own name
