The Golf Academy is made up of 4 vastly experienced and talented Golf Professionals - each has different areas of expertise and styles of teaching to cater for all types of golfers whether you're just starting out in golf or are looking to lower your handicap to single figures. Choose from a variety of golf lessons from video lessons, beginners courses and specialist clinics.

Neil Reeves - PGA Professional Neil has been a PGA professional for 20 years, During that time he has coached many of the best players within Yorkshire. Neil has worked for the PGA on many occasions and has attended golf coaching seminars around the world. He has worked with golf coaches including Denis Pugh, John Jacobs, Tommy Horton, Scott Cranfield and Butch Harmon.

Roy Penney - PGA Professional Roy began his professional career 19 years ago,and has recently moved to join The Shay Grange Golf Centre. His most recent role was Director of Golf at Whitefield Golf Club where he quickly established himself as one of the leading teaching professionals in the area, with his no nonsense easy to understand style of teaching.

Lee Scargill - PGA Professional Lee has a wealth of teaching knowledge from training and teaching at Leadbetter golf academies and golf clubs across the country.

James Hepworth - PGA Professional James has vast experience of playing golf on the European Tours for the last 15 years which he finds extremely valuable when teaching aspiring golfers.

Lesson Prices

There's a range of different golf lessons prices to suit all budgets and requirements.

Standard Lesson - £25 Per Person (30 Mins + 75 balls) Standard lessons are 30 minutes of professional golf tuition - which includes 75 quality range balls.

Premium Lesson - £40 Per Person  (60 Mins + 75 balls) Premium lessons are 60 minutes of professional golf tuition - which includes 75 quality range balls.

Multi Lessons - £125 Per Person (6 x 30 Mins Lessons) Book a course of lessons and save on the individual cost of single lessons. 6 x 30 minutes of professional golf tuition - which includes 75 quality range balls per lesson.

Group Lesson - £10 Per Person (60 Mins + 75 Balls) Group lessons are 60 minutes of professional golf tuition - which includes 75 quality range balls. You will be taught along side 6-7 other golf players. - Note: A payment of £60 to be paid before the course of 6 lessons commences.

Junior Lessons - £60 Per Person (6 Week Course) Over a the course of 6 weeks you'll complete 6 x 30 minutes of professional golf tuition - which includes 75 quality range balls per lesson and lesson booklet and certificate on completion.

Ladies Lessons - £11.50 Per Person (60 Mins + 75 Balls) Enjoy coffee, cake and coaching every Monday morning with lady golfers of all abilities. 60 minutes of professional golf tuition and 75 quality range balls. - Includes coffee & cake in the Express Golf Cafe.

Booking your lesson

When booking and paying for your golf lesson you are doing so directly with the golf professional and not with Shay Grange Golf Centre (Express Golf)

Cancellation Policy

When you book a golf lesson with a golf professional you are required to give at least 24 hours notice should you need to cancel your lesson. You will be liable for the full of the cost of your lesson should you cancel within this time.
